All eight education assistants who are part of the Pathway to Licensure program received a stipend that covers 100% of their fall and spring tuition, thanks to a grant from the Minnesota Department of Education.
Pathway to Licensure is a program through Northeast Metro 916 where education assistants can pursue their teaching license and master's degree at the University of Minnesota while continuing to work for 916. The current cohort is expected to graduate in spring 2020.
