The start of the new school year also brought a new licensure program to Northeast Metro 916. The 916 Center for Intensive Educator Preparation (CIEP) was designed to support currently licensed teachers' learning to add Autism Spectrum Disorder and Emotional Behavior Disorder licenses within the same coursework.


“The Center for Intensive Educator Preparation empowers educators with critical skills and passion for serving students with disabilities and their families,” said CIEP Creator and Manager of Special Projects, Theresa Wallace. “The skills learned by teachers in this program will transform classroom practices and impact the lives of our students.” 


This program stands out with its rigorous curriculum, surpassing the state's requirements. It focuses on essential skill instruction, data analysis, and decision-making, all crucial for individual and systematic progress toward state and curricular standards.
