Sarah Shanley at 916 Career and Tech Center and a member of the Northeast Metro Perkins Consortium recently won the Economic Development Association of Minnesota (EDAM) Innovation Award for her collaboration on the Exploring Careers through Industry Teacher Externships (EXCITE) Program.
EXCITE is a collaborative workforce development effort of local high schools, the Stillwater Area Chamber of Commerce, the Economic Development department of Washington County CDA, and the Northeast Metro Perkins Consortium.
The awards recognize projects and professionals in the economic development industry who have gone above and beyond or overcome significant challenges in the last year.
