Your educational partner

There is no limit to what we can dream. Parents dream that their children will function well within the school and the community. The Auditory/Oral program provides you with the tools to make this dream a reality.

Early intervention is the key to developing the whole child, not just listening and speaking skills. Our program addresses the social and emotional needs of every child as they work through barriers.

Our goal is to develop your child’s verbal, listening, social and academic skills before they are mainstreamed in their neighborhood schools. By partnering with you, we can achieve this goal for your child. We believe strongly in mainstreaming children who are deaf/hard of hearing with peers without hearing loss.

Our approach

We offer a nurturing and comprehensive school program that includes:

  • Early intervention and preschool (ages 18 months to 5 years)

  • Home-based services (parent/sibling support in collaboration with member district early childhood teams)

  • Support for hearing technologies (including cochlear implants, hearing aids, etc).

  • Independence/mainstream support, as well as teaching students to advocate for their needs

  • Hearing screenings

  • Individual Education Plans (IEP) or Individual Family Service Plans (IFSP) for all students

  • Rigorous curriculum and learning materials

  • Evaluation and monitoring of students’ learning styles and progress

  • Training for parents, school staff, and peers

Our team:

  • Licensed teacher for deaf/hard of hearing students

  • Licensed speech and language pathologist

  • Educational audiologist
