East View Academy, Metro Heights Academy, and 916 Mahtomedi Academy are alternative high school programs called Area Learning Centers (ALC).
Project Return is another school option for students in grades 6-12 who face suspension or expulsion from their home schools.
Each school is designed to help students achieve their educational and career goals in a nontraditional learning environment. We offer a comprehensive, rigorous high school curriculum delivered in a personalized, flexible, and nurturing environment. Students receive assistance in meeting graduation requirements and have opportunities to gain vocational skills and work experience.
