Northeast Metro 916 students and their families can apply for educational benefits each school year from August to June.
Current school year 2023-24 – application due by June 6, 2024
Next school year 2024-25 – application opens August 1, 2024
Possible educational benefits may include:
- P-EBT card for food benefits
- Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer (P-EBT) is a federal temporary emergency nutrition benefit available to families with children approved for educational benefits.
- Reduced rates on fees for technology
- Reduced academic fees
- Reduced rates for school activities

Some of the state funding that Northeast Metro 916 receives is contingent upon the number of students/families who apply and receive these educational benefits. The state funding supports the district and gives back to the students and their families.
