Northeast Metro 916 Policy 413 Harassment and Violence
Prohibits harassment and violence in the workplace, explicitly addressing protection for employees based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

Minnesota Human Rights Act (MHRA)
Provides statewide protections against discrimination for LGBTQ+ individuals, including employment, education, and public accommodations.
Includes protections for sexual orientation and gender identity.

LGBTQ+ students: Northeast Metro 916 aligns with MDE’s robust Toolkit for Ensuring Safe and Supportive Schools for Transgender and Gender Nonconforming Students. This resource provides valuable guidance for creating an inclusive and affirming environment.

Ramsey County Warming Spaces
Call 651-266-1050 between 5 p.m. and 5 a.m. or visit www.ramseycounty.us/WarmingSpace. Ramsey County Winter Warming Spaces are open 6 p.m. – 9 a.m. through March and will provide seating, blankets, light snacks, hot beverages (coffee and cocoa), and warming supplies such as mittens and hats. There is a free shuttle service every night from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m. to ensure transportation to and from Winter Warming Space locations.
